The Saddle River Valley Lions are proud to present the 20th Annual Herb Bodensiek Golf Classic on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Darlington Golf Course (277 Campgaw Road, Mahwah, NJ). Join us as we celebrate two decades of this beloved tradition, all in support of the causes our club serves throughout the community.
A Full Day of Golf, Food, and Fun
The day kicks off with registration and a continental breakfast from 8 to 9 AM, followed by a 9 AM shotgun start. Golfers will enjoy beer, soft drinks, and snacks out on the course, and the day continues immediately after play with a BBQ lunch, beverages, and lots of prizes at The Mason Jar (219 Ramapo Valley Road, Mahwah, NJ).
Contests and Prizes
The outing is played in a scramble format, so golfers of every skill level are welcome. Contests and prizes include:
- $5,000 and Mercedes Benz hole-in-one contest
- Longest drives (men and women)
- Closest to the line
- Closest to the flag
- Lowest team score
- Auction and raffle with great prizes

Since our founding in 1958, we’ve donated more than $2.86 million to sight- and health-related charities and local volunteer organizations in Allendale, Mahwah, Ramsey, Saddle River, and Upper Saddle River.
